Writer, artist, pilot. @JulieNeidlinger
I grew up on a farm not far from the Canadian border. Though I now live in Bismarck, North Dakota, I am a farm girl at heart. I am a writer, artist, and private pilot. I've also been a pastry chef, school teacher, welder, piano teacher, graphic designer, short-order cook, house cleaner, nanny, t-shirt designer, postal worker, newspaper photographer and reporter, and copywriter. I have been writing on my own website since 2000, and "officially" blogging since 2002.
I will respond to legitimate correspondence. I do not do phone calls.

I am on social media, but not enthusiastically. I don't respond in a timely manner there. Postal mail and email are your best bet.
As an artist, my work includes:
As a writer, I write (or ghostwrite):

My art has been on display:
"She writes, she paints, and she photographs -- but no matter what medium she chooses, she excels in finding and describing the universal themes that connect North Dakota to the larger, outside world." -- Corrine Kenner
"...taught herself how to survive and grow as a one-person work-at-home artist in rural North Dakota." -- Gwen Bristol, Dakota Lifestyle
"...very honest and controversial..." -- Internet Monk
"...you'll be compelled to read every last word." -- Mickey McLean, World Magazine
"...I'm a huge dork." -- Me
"We love you, but please pick up your shoes." -- mom
I worked with an international non-profit organization, Nicaragua Resource Network - North Dakota, as the communications specialist and webmaster for five years. Though I no longer travel on trips, I did spend eight years with Nicaragua as a particular focus, and made many Nica friends.
I got my private pilot's license in 2008, and joined the Civil Air Patrol in 2009. I've been a member of the North Dakota Pilots Association (NDPA) since 2009, as secretary in 2011 and Vice President in 2012. I was also a member of the North Dakota Aviation Council (NDAC) as one of two representatives of NDPA for 2011-2014.
I love to travel, and have been to Canada, Germany, (then) Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Nicaragua, Australia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and the Caribbean, as well as all over the United States. But North Dakota is always home.
I once owned Lone Prairie Cupcakes, a gourmet cupcake and confectionery business, from 2009 to 2011, until I realized I wanted all cupcakes to die. During that time, I was also a pastry chef in Bismarck from 2008 to 2011, because I can never have just one job.
I like: reading, writing, painting, playing the piano/violin/clarinet, cats, horses, hot chocolate, flying, autumn, Christmas, Halloween, target shooting with guns, solitude, silence, Start Trek TNG, reading, Toy Story, SciFi, Cadbury Mini Eggs, Murder She Wrote, Tolkien, geocaching, Official Bob, cozy mysteries, plays, attending the local orchestra, Android, and obsessively saving money.
I am introverted to the nth degree.
But the truth is...I rather loathe social media. I stay on Facebook because it's the only way I know what my family is up to, and see photos of their kids.
What's my online persona? It's Angryman Cartoon. 'Nuff said.
